Tumblring through the looking glass

So, let me see if I have this straight.

Google did the following:

1. Installed IE
2. Installed the Bing Bar
3. Said, yes, Microsoft watch what I do and learn from it.
4. Taught Bing about some new bogus websites
5. Became shocked and outraged that Bing actually learned what they taught it.

Does that about sum it up or am I missing something here?
